NORTH WOODMERE, N.Y. (1010 WINS/WCBS 880) — A 9-year-old girl was injured in a fall from a diving board at a Long Island park on Thursday evening, authorities said.
It happened at 5:10 p.m. at the North Woodmere Park in North Woodmere, officials said.
According to detectives, police responded to 750 Hungry Harbor Rd. for a 9-year-old girl that fell from the pool diving board in the park.
The girl suffered contusions to her head, neck pain and a possible fractured left arm.
She was transported by Nassau County Police Helicopter to a local hospital for treatment and is currently listed in stable condition.
