HEMPSTEAD, N.Y. (1010 WINS) -- Police are after a man was found dead in a bedroom at a Long Island residence on Monday morning, authorities said.
Just before 11 a.m., police responded to a 911 call for a man not breathing at 12 Maryland Ave. in Hempstead.
Upon arrival, officers discovered a 61-year-old man in an upstairs bedroom with a blunt force trauma injury to his head. He was pronounced dead on the scene.
The investigation remains ongoing.
