NEW CASSEL, N.Y. (1010 WINS) – A man was thrown to the ground in a street robbery on Long Island on Monday, police said.
The attack happened in New Cassel at around 12 a.m. when three unidentified men approached a 49-year-old victim at the intersection of Prospect Avenue and Siegel Street from behind and punched him in the head before throwing him to the ground, according to Nassau County Police Department.
The three suspects then took the victim's wallet from his pants pocket and fled on foot in an unknown direction.
The victim suffered from a contusion to his forehead and an abrasion to his left hand.
