
NEW YORK (1010 WINS) -- CVS will start administering COVID-19 vaccines at select pharmacies in New York, New Jersey and Connecticut next week, the company said Tuesday.
Thirty-two CVS pharmacies in New York, 27 in New Jersey and 12 in Connecticut will start administering vaccines on Thursday, Feb. 12, the company said in a press release.
Residents who meet their states’ eligibility criteria may be able to start booking their vaccines as soon as Feb. 9, the release noted.
“One of our greatest strengths as a company is our presence in communities across the country, which makes us an ideal partner for administering vaccines in a safe, convenient and familiar manner,” CVS Health President and CEO Karen Lynch said in a statement.
CVS pharmacies in the following communities will be offering vaccines, according to the release:
New York: Batavia, Bethpage, Clinton, Cooperstown, Eastchester, Glenville, Hamburg, Hudson Falls, Kingston, Mattituck, Owego, Queensbury, Saratoga Springs, Stony Point, and Westfield
New Jersey: Brigantine, Edison, Elizabeth, Flemington, Green Brook, Hoboken, North Bergen, North Plainfield, Princeton, Seaside Heights, Stanhope, Union, Voorhees, and West Orange
Connecticut: Avon, Bristol, Coventry, Glastonbury, Guilford, Hamden, Middletown, North Haven and Uncasville
The chain's vaccine rollout will expand to additional locations as supply increases, the company noted.
Residents interested in scheduling a vaccine can sign up in advance at CVS.com once registration opens or use the CVS Pharmacy app. Those who don't have online access can contact CVS customer service at 800-746-7287.
