NEW YORK (1010 WINS) – A blast of snow on Tuesday set a festive backdrop for Christmas Eve, but it looks like the NYC area will forgo a white Christmas yet again this year.

NYC and its suburbs got a coating to an inch of snow over about two hours on Tuesday morning, but the flakes had already cleared out by late morning.

That’s good news for travelers, who had to not only contend with the weather but a temporary, nationwide ground stop impacting American Airlines.

Tuesday is otherwise partly cloudy with a high of 38 degrees and a low of 27.
