NEW YORK (1010 WINS) — Weekend travel plans may be interrupted as the tristate area braces for a powerful storm Thursday and Friday.
While seasonal temperatures are expected Tuesday and Wednesday with highs in the upper-30s, Thursday will bring clouds and rain with some snow mixed in.

More rain will arrive Thursday night into Friday, some of it heavy with strong winds.
Wind gusts are expected to be between 40 and 50 mph Friday.

Temperatures will peak in the mid-50s, but it should turn sharply colder Friday night.

Saturday and Sunday’s temperatures are not expected to go into the 30s at all with lows in the teens.
