
NEW YORK (1010 WINS/WCBS 880) – The weekend's nasty weather was set to continue in New York City on Monday and Tuesday—the lingering impacts of tropical rainstorm Ophelia.
Pockets of flooding remained a concern Monday as rain and drizzle dragged on for a third day, according to AccuWeather. A swath of the region remained under flood advisories and alerts.
Two days after it was downgraded from a tropical storm, Ophelia was still swirling off the Jersey Shore on Monday. Even as Ophelia weakened, a new tropical storm named Philippe brewed in the Atlantic.


As Ophelia struggles to push off into the Atlantic, the weather remained windy and wet in the New York area on Monday, with cool temps, low clouds, fog and periods of rain.
Monday's high will only be about 63 in the city, with RealFeels staying in the 50s.


Tuesday will be cool, breezy and damp with as clouds, fog and periods of rain drag on. The high will be 64, with RealFeels again in the 50s.
Conditions should finally dry out on Wednesday, but it will remain cool despite some sun. The high will be 67.

Thursday will be partly sunny and cool as highs stay around 68.
More showers could pop up to end the week on Friday and Saturday. Highs will be in the upper 60s going into the weekend.
