NEW YORK (1010 WINS) -- A wintery mix of precipitation is expected for the Tri-State area Monday evening, with a touch of snow and sleet forecasted to fall near and north of New York City for a period of time.
With a round of rain moving through the Tri-State, the low for the city Monday night is expected to remain in the high 30s to low 40s into Tuesday morning.
New York City will spared the worst of the sloppiness, while winter weather advisories are in effect overnight into Tuesday for parts of northern New Jersey, the Hudson Valley and Connecticut suburbs.
Temps will slowly rise after midnight for a milder Tuesday, with clouds and a little sun. The high will be 48.
Another winter mix is expected in upstate New York Tuesday night into Wednesday morning.
