NEW YORK (1010 WINS) — After weeks of frigid cold, blustering winds and winter storms, warmer temperatures are in store for New Yorkers over the weekend and early next week.
There will be sunshine and a few clouds throughout the day Saturday as temperatures begin to rise, AccuWeather said. The daytime high will hit 40 with less wind.
The National Weather Service said that the New York City area is experiencing “some slight temperature moderation later today beginning to get underway” as temperatures rise through early next week.

By night the sky will be full of patchy clouds with lows dropping to 31 in the city and 20s in most surrounding suburbs.
The temperature incline continues Sunday as the weather makes a turn for the milder with some sunshine and a high of 45.

Despite more clouds than sun on Monday, the work week remains warmer with a high of 46. The temperature spike continues Tuesday with a high of 54, though more clouds will be around.
There is a chance of an afternoon or evening shower on Tuesday, a day that AccuWeather said will see even more clouds.
Wednesday will be quite nice with more sunshine and highs remaining in the low to mid-50s.
