It is hard to be encouraged by anything with the New York Giants these days as they continue to turn in uncompetitive performances week in and out and falling to 1-4 with the Buffalo Bills up next.

But cornerback Adoree’ Jackson wants fans to keep the faith.

“Please don’t jump off the edge. We’re gonna be alright,” he told Brandon Tierney and Sal Licata during his WFAN appearance on Tuesday. “You want to have an escape from reality and you go towards us, [but we’re not making it any easier for you guys. … There’s going to be brighter days.”

It is one thing to say it, but it is another thing to actually do it.

Through five weeks, the Giants rank last in yards per game, second-to-last in points and points per game and their six offensive touchdowns are tied with the Patriots and Steelers for the league-worst.

On the defensive side, their five sacks are tied with the Falcons for the fewest in the league. They have just three takeaways, which is one better than the league-worst Patriots, and have allowed the fourth-most points in the NFL, giving up an average of 30.6 points per game.

Despite ranking at the bottom of nearly every statistical category on both sides of the ball, Jackson does not believe the Giants are the worst team in the league nor does the locker room feel that way.

“Nah, for sure don’t feel like worst team in NFL, but at same time have that belief it’s not faded,” Jackson said. “We have to have faith in the process, faith in journey. We don’t in that locker room hang our heads low, pout woe is me. I think we have the right guys in there to understand that situation and fix the situation but at the same time we gotta go out there and show it and put it on tape. Not for anyone else but ourselves.”
