The Brooklyn Nets sit atop the Vegas betting favorites to win the NBA Finals as the 2nd half of the NBA season is set to begin, a notch ahead the defending champion Lakers. Should the Nets be the favorites as we begin the 2nd half tonight?
The NBA on TNT’s Adam Lefkoe joined The DA Show to answer:
“Yes sir, I think as soon as the AD injury happened, and the Lakers aren’t sure when he’ll be back… you went wow this Lakers team was so much bigger last year that it allowed Lebron to play a roving 3 guy on defense and he’s had to do a lot more.”
Who should the Nets fear the most down the stretch and into the post season?
“The one team that I think is going to be the biggest issue for the Nets is the Philadelphia 76’ers. They are a phenomenal defensive team and I believe they have a position that the Brooklyn Nets do not have. The Sixers are the wild card in this NBA Finals race because in the end nobody can defend Embiid.”
Last season the Heat surprised most of us with a run to the NBA Finals, Vegas chalk believes this year will feature the Nets and Lakers, but the Sixers surely could crash that party.
