Derrick Rose's second stint with the Knicks will apparently continue.
The Knicks are reportedly in agreement with the former NBA MVP on a free agent contract that will keep him in New York for three additional seasons.
The deal is worth $43M, according to Adrian Wojnarowski of ESPN.
Rose, a three-time All-Star, came to the Knicks last season in a midseason deal with the Detroit Pistons.
He provided strong play and some much-needed veteran leadership to a Knicks backcourt featuring rookie Immanuel Quickley and several veteran journeymen.
Now 32, the 2011 MVP is in his third stint on a Tom Thibodeau-coached team, the first coming during his Chicago Bulls hay day, and the other later on with the Minnesota Timberwolves.
Rose also had a one-year stint with the Knicks in 2016-17, after they acquired him in a trade with the Bulls. The experiment ended in disappointment, with former team president Phil Jackson exiting at season's end and Rose later signing with the Cavaliers.
But the second Rose era in New York has been far more successful so far, punctuated by the former No. 1 overall pick helping to lead the Knicks to their first playoff appearance in eight years.
The Knicks were busy early in the free agency period, reportedly re-signing Rose, Alec Burks and Nerlens to three-year deals, and reportedly reaching a lucrative four-year contract with former Celtics and Magic shooting guard Evan Fournier.
