The Nets lost Jeff Green to the Nuggets, but have reportedly picked up another versatile defender in veteran James Johnson.
According to ESPN’s Adrian Wojnarowski, Brooklyn has signed the 34-year-old forward to a one-year deal, though the amount was not yet reported.
The Nets will be Johnson’s 10th team since debuting with the Bulls in 2009, after being taken with the 16th overall pick. He played with the Mavericks and Pelicans last season, appearing in a total of 51 games while averaging 7.2 points, 3.5 rebounds and 0.8 blocks per game.
Johnson stands a 6-foot-7 and has the ability to guard opposing centers as well, and is lauded for his defensive toughness.
