The Knicks have reportedly agreed to an extension with general manager Scott Perry, according to The Athletic’s Shams Charania.
According to Ian Begley of SNY, the extension is for multiple years.
Perry’s contract, which ran through the end of this season, began in 2017, shortly after Phil Jackson’s departure from the franchise. He served under Steve Mills, and once Leon Rose took over the team, he kept Perry on as general manager.
Perry’s biggest contribution to the Knicks during his tenure was leading the signing of Julius Randle, who won the NBA’s Most Improved Player Award this season and led the Knicks to a surprising playoff berth.
