Dayglow made his debut at BottleRock Napa as he makes his way around music festivals in 2023 and we got some insight on his small-town Alido, Texas beginnings & his thoughts on Keanu Reeves' band Dogstar replacing Japanese Breakfast at the fest.
On growing up in Alido, Texas and what it's most well-known for, Sloan Struble notes high school football and a new H-E-B, but growing up there wasn't much.
On making it out to shows as a teenager Struble noted he didn't go to many shows & he didn't have friends to go to shows with. "It was mostly YouTube."
Dayglow played day 2 of BottleRock Napa, which featured the late addition of Keanu Reeves band Dogstar and their first performance in over 20 years, coincidentally on the same stage he was set to play right before him. On Dogstar replacing Japanese Breakfast he noted he was bummed about the cancellation, "but that would be crazy to be replaced by Keanu Reeves. That's cool. I might cancel everything until it happens." On if there's anyone notable who follows Dayglow around, Struble noted Steve Wozniak watched his set at Outside Lands in San Francisco.
