Before the Los Angeles Rams avoided a collapse against Tom Brady in Tampa on Sunday, the team made headlines when it made ticket sales to Sunday's upcoming NFC Championship game at SoFi Stadium available exclusively to those with greater Los Angeles area zip codes.
Orders by residents outside the region would be canceled without notice and refunds given. A move that was made in an apparent attempt to limit the number of San Francisco 49ers fans in attendance to give the team more of a homefield advantage. The policy only ever applied to direct ticket sales, as opposed to those sold on the resale market.
