Museums across San Francisco will be free to the public for San Francisco Free Museums Weekend on Saturday Dec. 3 & Sunday Dec. 4, 2023 thanks in part to anonymous donors who provided the funds to make it happen.
Among the 21 organizations that will offer free admission that weekend are the de Young Museum, California Academy of Sciences, The Exploratorium, the Walt Disney Family Museum, Yerba Buena Center For The Arts, Asian Art Museum, Contemporary Jewish Museum, San Francisco Museum of Modern Art and much more.

Organizers noted that San Francisco is among cities taking longer to return to its pre-pandemic self and the hope is that a weekend like this will help. Tickets need to be reserved in advance at www.sffreemuseumweekend.com.
