Parking will remain free for the first two hours a car is parked, but after that you'll have to pay fees up to $10 per day. The move hopes to alleviate issues of drivers leaving their vehicles parked around the shopping center for entire days, overnight, and to deter people from parking there before flying out of San Jose International Airport.

If you're seeing a movie at the Showplace ICON Theatre, you'll be able to receive validations for up to 4 hours of free parking. According to the shopping center's senior general manager, Sue Newsom, there are hundreds of cars left in the lot daily & this plan is part of a broader focus on security.
