Seattle rock band The Black Tones were on Locals Only this week to share some new music from their upcoming debut album Cobain and Cornbread. Their debut full legth is easily one of the most highly anticipated releases coming out of Seattle in this year and the tunes they let me play on Sunday night showed exactly why that's the case.
Eva and Cedric (twins) shared stories about how they got started playing together after Cedric saw his sister perform at Folk Life years ago and asked her to teach him to play the drums. They talked about the excitement of the album being released soon and the release show coming up at Chop Suey on April 11th. The Black Tones will perform with local artists Black Ends and Payge Turner.
In addition to premiering some of their new music we also played new tracks from Spirit Award, Flying Fish Cove, Ravenna Woods and more.
