Congratulations to Marysville resident Katty Prettyman on her fourth trip to the Nathan's Famous Hot Dog Eating Contest on Coney Island, NY. She put up a respectable 4th place eating 16 hot dogs and buns in 10 minutes.
While she didn't win the Pink Belt awarded to the woman who eats the most hot dogs and bun in just ten minutes, that's just shy of making the podium! She told The Everett Herald that she had hoped to manage 18 this year but fell short of the goal by two. She has stedily improved over the four years starting by eating only 11 lol.
Congrats to Michelle Lesco on Tucson, AZ, on her first Nathan's contest win who vowed to be back to defend next year.
The 7-time reigning champ and record holder, Miki Sudo, sat this year's contest out as she's got a (hot dog) bun in the oven. I'm sorry.
On the men's side, it came as no surprise that winner of the Mustard Belt and now 14-time champion was Joey Chestnut who himself set a new record smashing 76 hot dogs in 10 minutes. Gross.
I miss Kobayashi.
