Mothers Are Not 'Banning Books' or 'Extremists'

Dom Giordano, WPHT host and former teacher, has dedicated much of his daily show toward parents who are taking it into their own hands to push back against school boards that have a negative impact on their children. This has culminated in a weekly podcast on education, Readin', Writin', and Reason, which has allowed wonderful relationships to develop between Giordano, educators, and parents throughout the country who are speaking out against overbearing school boards.

First, Dom welcomes in New Jersey State Senator Ed Durr back onto the Dom Giordano Program to discuss a push by progressives and the Mayor in Trenton to defund schools who refuse to stock pornographic materials in their libraries. Durr provided commentary in a recent Inquirer article, where he suggested drafting a bill to impose an age-rating system similar to movie theaters for books, creating a line or limit for explicit material. This comes as fallout after NJ and national Republicans pushed for a review of books in libraries after parents started seeing very controversial material pushed in the guise of the LGBT+ movement, including images of sexual acts on minors.

Then, Dom welcomes anonymous writer Peachy Keenan onto the Dom Giordano Program to discuss her new book Domestic Extremist: The Practical Guide to Winning the Culture War. The new book, which Keenan describes as a travel guide for those who feel trapped in the culture war era, explains why she believes conservatives need to become more ‘extreme’ by becoming more ‘domestic.’ Keenan further explains the purpose of the book, noting that the term ‘domestic extremist,’ when viewed through the today’s Overton Window, contains the matriarch in a traditional family.
