BLOOMFIELD HILLS (WWJ) -- The public is invited to cruise Woodward Avenue to show their support for the Republican nominee, former President Donald Trump.

The Michigan Conservative Coalition has announced a "Trump Woodward Cruise" planned for this Saturday, with the stated goal to "highlight Oakland County’s and Michigan’s support of Donald J. Trump in the November election."

The cruise will travel on Woodward Avenue from Square Lake Road to 12 Mile Road, in both directions, from noon to 3 p.m. on October 12. This differs from the popular Woodward Dream Cruise — a classic car cruise held annually in August — in that participants are asked to deck out their cars in Trump paraphernalia.

“Everyone joining in the Cruise should decorate their vehicle with as much pro TRUMP signage, paint, flags, etc. as is humanly possible,” said Meshawn Maddock, spokesperson for Michigan Conservative Coalition, the Cruise sponsor. “Of course, drive safely, obey traffic signs and, of course, give way to any emergency vehicle like an ambulance. Otherwise join in the fun and decorate your vehicle to show your support of Trump.”

Oakland County Republican Party headquarters (42611 Woodward Avenue, Bloomfield Hills, MI 48304) will be open to serve cruisers with merchandise, candidate signs, food and entertainment. As the event will be held rain or shine, attendees are urged to dress for the weather.

“Do one loop, do a dozen, or do whatever fits your schedule,” Maddock said. “It has been said that the only thing the corrupt media cannot censor is a live event. So, join us for an amazing, public, live and FUN event on October 12.”
