(670 The Score) The Bears have re-signed defensive back DeAndre Houston-Carson on a one-year deal, they announced Friday afternoon. They did so after declining his qualifying offer.

Houston-Carson, who turns 26 in April, has appeared in 32 games for the Bears over the past three seasons. He has served as a backup defensive back and a key special teams contributor. He has 18 career tackles on special teams, the second-most on the team since he entered the league. The Bears drafted Houston-Carson in the sixth round in 2016.

Houston-Carson had four tackles and defense and six tackles on special teams in 13 games in 2018.
