Report: Cubs Add RHP Adam On Minor League Deal

(670 The Score) The Cubs and righty reliever Jason Adam have agreed to a minor league deal, Robert Murray of the Athletic reported Tuesday evening.

The deal is worth $700,000 and can max out at $1.2 million, the Athletic reported. Adam was non-tendered by the Blue Jays after the 2019 season.

Adam, 28, had a 2.91 ERA and 1.15 WHIP in 23 appearances for Toronto last season. He has a 4.83 ERA in 54 appearances across two MLB seasons. He has struck out 9.2 batters and walked 4.2 batters per nine innings in his career.
