Listen: Holmes On Police Brutality, Need For Reform

(670 The Score) After peaceful protests were also marred by looting in Chicago and across America over the weekend, 670 The Score host Laurence Holmes opened his show Monday afternoon with a powerful segment addressing police brutality and the need for change in our country.

Holmes emphasized the need to remember the original reason for the protest -- the senseless killing of George Floyd at the hands of a police officer on Memorial Day in Minneapolis. He addressed how he has been feeling and what he observed over the weekend. He called out the city and mayor Lori Lightfoot for some of their decisions.

And Holmes thanked those who have been stepping up and giving him hope moving forward.

"I don’t want to let my rage on this subject lose sight of how good we can be when we try," Holmes said. "Please keep helping if you can."
