LAKE FOREST, Ill. (670 The Score) -- The Bears have injuries to monitor for a couple key starters.
Bears cornerback Jaylon Johnson (oblique) and right guard Teven Jenkins (hip) each landed on the team's injury report Thursday after being limited participants in practice. Neither player was listed on the injury report Wednesday, an indication that their injuries flared up during practice Thursday.
Johnson missed three games earlier this season with a quad injury. With Kindle Vildor (ankle) not practicing yet this week, the Bears (3-6) could potentially be down both starting cornerbacks against the Lions (2-6) on Sunday at Soldier Field.
If Jenkins is unable to play, the Bears would likely turn to veteran Michael Schofield at right guard.
Bears defensive lineman Al-Quadin Muhammad (knee) also sat out practice for the second straight day.
The Bears waived undrafted rookie tight end Jake Tonges on Thursday, perhaps clearing a roster spot for receiver Byron Pringle (calf) to be activated from injured reserve.
