(670 The Score) The Bears have signed veteran offensive lineman Elijah Wilkinson to a one-year deal, they announced Tuesday afternoon.

Wilkinson, 26, has played in 45 games and started 26 over four NFL seasons, all with the Broncos. He has moved between guard and tackle during his career.

Wilkinson projects to offer the Bears swing depth on the offensive line. Chicago is expected to have Cody Whitehair, James Daniels and Alex Bars compete for the two starting guard spots. Germain Ifedi, who signed a one-year deal last week, is in line to return as the team's starting right tackle opposite of left tackle Charles Leno Jr. Sam Mustipher could fill the starting center role after assuming that position last November.

A UMass product, Wilkinson entered the NFL as an undrafted free agent in 2017.
