Reports: Bears receiver David Moore arrested on drug, weapon charges

Receiver David Moore was arrested on drug and weapon charges in his hometown of Gainesville, Texas over the holiday weekend, according to the Texas outlet KXII. He posted a $5,000 bond and was released from the county jail, according to KXII.

Officers responded to a call of a person asleep at the wheel and possibly intoxicated at a local Taco Bell, KTEN News in Texas reported in revealing further details. During a search of the vehicle, police found a package of THC edible candies and three pistols, KTEN reported. Edibles are illegal in Texas.

Moore, 27, joined the Bears on a one-year deal in April. He has 78 catches across five NFL seasons.

Bears receiver Byron Pringle was arrested in April on reckless driving charges and for driving on a suspended license after police found him doing donuts in his vehicle with a child in the backseat. In June, Bears linebacker Matt Adams was arrested on misdemeanor charges for unlawful use of a weapon.
