(670 The Score) The Bears have officially released veteran cornerback Desmond Trufant.
Trufant, 30, has been away from the Bears since Aug. 13 due to a personal matter. He joined the Bears on a one-year deal on March 20, with the team at the time positioning him to be a starter at cornerback. An eight-year NFL veteran, Trufant signed on the same day that cornerback Kyle Fuller was released in Chicago.

The Bears are likely to start either Kindle Vildor or Artie Burns at cornerback opposite of Jaylon Johnson.
