(670 The Score) The Blackhawks have acquired left wing Taylor Hall in a trade with the Bruins, the team announced Monday.

Chicago also acquired the rights to unrestricted free-agent winger Nick Foligno and will send restricted free-agent defenseman Ian Mitchell and restricted free-agent defenseman Alex Regula to Boston.

“We are thrilled to be adding players of Nick’s and Taylor’s caliber to our organization,” Blackhawks general manager Kyle Davidson said in a statement. “The two bring a wealth of experience and leadership that will strengthen not only our forward group but aid in the development of our entire roster.”

The move represents a salary dump for the Bruins, as Hall is the headlining piece as a productive player making $6 million annually with two years left on his contract. Hall, 31, had 36 points (16 goals, 20 assists) in 61 games this past season. He had 61 points (20 goals, 41 assists) in 81 games in the 2021-’22 season. He had a 16-team no-trade list, but the Blackhawks weren’t on it, according to reports.

Hall is a two-time All-Star who won the MVP award in the 2017-'18 season, when he had 93 points (39 goals, 54 assists).

Foligno, 35, had 26 points (10 goals, 16 assists) in 60 games last season.

Mitchell, 24, has appeared in 82 games across three NHL seasons. He had eight points (one goal, seven assists) in 35 games last season.
Chicago selected Mitchell in the second round of the 2017 NHL Draft.

Regula, 22, has appeared in 22 career NHL games, including four this past season. He was a third-round pick in 2018.
