Report: Blackhawks to trade Mattias Janmark to Golden Knights

The Blackhawks will receive a second-round pick in return.

(670 The Score) The Blackhawks have agreed to trade forward Mattias Janmark to the Golden Knights, TSN reported Monday.

The Blackhawks will receive a second-round pick in 2021 and a third-round pick in 2022 from the Golden Knights. In addition to Janmark, Chicago will also send its fifth-round pick in 2022 to Vegas, according to reports. The deal expanded into a three-team trade that included the Sharks receiving a fifth-round pick from the Golden Knights in exchange for a minor league player, TSN reported. Janmark was routed to Vegas through San Jose, which also sent defenseman Nick DeSimone to Chicago.

Janmark, 28, had 19 points (10 goals, nine assists) in 41 games for the Blackhawks this season, his first in Chicago. The deal was reached ahead of the NHL's trade deadline at 2 p.m. CT Monday. Earlier in the day, the Blackhawks also traded forward Matthew Highmore to the Canucks for forward Adam Gaudette.
