(670 The Score) The Cubs have placed outfielder Joc Pederson on the 10-day injured list with left wrist tendinitis, the team announced Thursday evening.

In a corresponding move, Chicago has recalled infielder Nico Hoerner from their alternate site at South Bend. Hoerner had a strong spring but didn’t make the club when the Cubs broke camp.

Pederson has been struggling early on in his first season in Chicago, hitting .137 with one homer, four RBIs and a .498 OPS in 16 games.

The Cubs host the Mets at Wrigley Field on Thursday in the finale of a three-game series. Hoerner will be available to play. Pregame starts at 6:05 p.m. CT on 670 The Score, with first pitch set for 6:40 p.m.
