(670 The Score) The Cubs on Friday placed second baseman Nico Hoerner on the 10-day injured list with a left hamstring strain.

Hoerner suffered the injury while running the bases in a loss to the Cardinals on Monday. He then sat out of the next two games as the team also had an off day Thursday. The move is retroactive to Tuesday.
