Cubs reinstate outfielder Joc Pederson from injured list

(670 The Score) The Cubs have reinstated outfielder Joc Pederson from the injured list, they announced Monday.

Pederson had been sidelined from game action since April 20 due to a wrist injury. He’ll play left field and lead off when the Cubs host the Dodgers, his old team, at Wrigley Field on Monday evening (weather permitting).

Pederson is off to a rough start, hitting .137 with one homer, four RBIs and a .498 OPS in 16 games.

In a corresponding move, Chicago optioned right-hander Keegan Thompson, who has thrown one scoreless inning for them.
