(670 The Score) Cubs left-hander Shota Imanaga has been honored for his first month in Major League Baseball, as he was named the National League Rookie of the Month for March/April.
Imanaga is 5-0 with an 0.78 ERA over his first six starts in the majors. The Cubs have won each of his half-dozen outings to this point.
Imanaga, 30, signed with the Cubs on a four-year, $53-million deal in January. He had previously pitched eight years in Japan.
The Cubs open a three-game series with the Brewers on Friday at Wrigley Field.
