(670 The Score) The White Sox have won nine of their last 10 games and have garnered the attention of the baseball world with their recent play.
In earning a 10-3 win over the Pirates at Guaranteed Rate Field on Wednesday afternoon, the White Sox improved to 19-12, good for second in the AL Central. Highlighting their recent success was ace Lucas Giolito's no-hitter in a win against the Pirates on Tuesday night.
So, as the White Sox keep winning, what do they see as their ceiling?
"The ceiling would be World Series champions," Giolito said on the McNeil & Parkins Show on Wednesday. "That's pretty much the goal at this point.
"Why not? We've just proven a lot of people wrong this year. That feels good. But at the same time, we have our eyes on the prize. We know what's important. We come to the field and work our asses off. We have the expectation to win a big league ballgame every day."
The White Sox have an off day Thursday before hosting the Royals in a three-game series in Chicago beginning Friday.
