(670 The Score) The White Sox have demoted right-hander Reynaldo Lopez to their alternate camp in Schaumburg amid his continued struggles.

Lopez is 0-2 with an 8.38 ERA and 2.28 WHIP in 9 2/3 innings across four starts this season. He went just 1 2/3 innings and allowed three runs in the White Sox’s 8-1 loss to the Twins on Wednesday evening. The White Sox optioned him to Schaumburg on Thursday afternoon.

In a corresponding move, Chicago recalled left-hander Bernardo Flores Jr. from Schaumburg. He has a 3.18 ERA across four minor league seasons in the White Sox’s farm system. Flores has never appeared in an MLB game, though he did join the White Sox as their 29th in a doubleheader back on Aug. 15.
