(Audacy) Not only are Michael Jordan and Tom Brady legends in their respective sports, but they also can both say that they've unretired in their careers.

Jordan retired twice before ultimately calling it a career for good in 2003, while Brady had a brief retirement this offseason. And following a few months in which Brady constantly was in the news cycle, he’s set to begin his 23rd NFL season Sunday night.

Brady and the Tampa Bay Buccaneers will begin their campaign with a primetime matchup against the Dallas Cowboys on Sunday at AT&T Stadium. During the broadcast of the Bills-Rams opener Thursday evening, NBC dropped its promo for the Sunday night game, and they called upon Jordan to voice the promo.

"I was away from the game for almost two years, he didn't make two months,” Jordan said. “But you know what that tells me? How much he wants it. How much he needs it. TB12, Season 23. He's back."

Whether this will be the final season opener for Brady remains to be seen, as he has stayed mum on his NFL future beyond 2022 since unretiring. Maybe the result of this season will determine if there will be a 24th season of Brady.
