(RADIO.COM Sports) Tiger Woods was involved in a car accident Tuesday morning in southern California that required hand tools to extricate him, according to authorities. He suffered leg injuries, agent Mark Steinberg told multiple media outlets in a statement. His injuries aren't life-threatening, according to multiple reports out of Los Angeles.

"Tiger Woods was in a single-car accident this morning in California where he suffered multiple leg injuries," Steinberg said. "He is currently in surgery and we thank you for your privacy and support."

Woods was traveling northbound on Hawthorne Boulevard when he crashed his car in a single vehicle rollover traffic collision. His vehicle sustained major damage, and Woods was transported to a local hospital for his injuries.

Woods, a 15-time major winner, hasn't played since participating in the Masters last November. He announced in January that he had undergone back surgery recently, and he had been rehabbing since. Over the weekend, Woods was the tournament host for the Genesis Invitational, which was held in Pacific Palisades.
