Seven different teams have at least 4% of the tickets in Big Ten Championship odds at the BetMGM online sportsbook. Oregon is the only newcomer among that group.

Days before the official debut of the 18-team conference, Ohio State is the favorite (+150) and dominating betting for the conference championship. Bettors are backing the Buckeyes to win their first title since 2020 with 28.4% of the tickets and 55% of the handle.

The handle share is the biggest of any Power 4 conference, well ahead of the next-largest share, 38% for Colorado in the Big 12.

Penn State and Michigan are tied behind Ohio State in tickets (17%), followed by Oregon (10.9%), Michigan State (5.5%), Iowa (5.5%), and Nebraska (4.8%).  The other three newcomers have a combined 5.5%:

USC: 3.6%

Washington: 1.5%

UCLA: 0.4%

Oregon’s share accounts for 7.2% of the handle, also the fourth largest, while the three other former Pac-12 teams have a combined 5.1%. For context, there’s nearly as much money on Nebraska, Maryland, and Rutgers (4.2%) to win the Big Ten Championship as USC, Washington, and UCLA.
