The Steelers have officially added some big reinforcements to their defense.

The team announced Saturday morning that it has acquired Jacksonville Jaguars linebacker Joe Schobert. A sixth-round pick in the 2022 NFL Draft is heading to the Jaguars.

Schobert, 27, is entering his sixth season in the NFL, playing his first four years in Cleveland before signing a five-year, $53.75 million contract with the Jaguars before the 2020 season.

In 2017, Schobert was the co-leader in the NFL in tackles and was selected to the Pro Bowl.

Last season, he racked up 141 tackles, 2.5 sacks and intercepted one pass.
