Shan Shariff gets Cowboys 'reckless' by trading Dak Prescott and Micah Parsons

After spending two days at the NFL Scouting Combine in Indianapolis, Shan Shariff and the guys are back in DFW, and Shan's looking to 'shake' things up in Cowboys land.

Before delivering on his tease Monday morning, Shan prefaced his idea as 'reckless' based on the 'random' and 'wild' Cowboys rumors we've heard over the past week. On its face, it may seem that way, but it certainly has some merit when you consider the Cowboys are unlikely to contend for the Super Bowl in 2026.

So, what's the idea?

"What if I told you that you could get rid of Dak Prescott's contract. I suffer for a year with the $100 million cap hit. I get you the No. 1 pick in the draft and I don't have to pay Micah Parsons the $35 million (annual salary) and all the other assets that come along with that - would you basically hit a Dak reset button?"

Shan said his 'reckless' idea came about after Pro Football Talk's Mike Florio said on their show Thursday that the Cowboys and Titans had discussed a trade for the No. 1 pick. Add in Jerry Jones not speaking with reporters on his bus in Indianapolis, and Shan getting a text message from someone relaying information they heard about the Cowboys wanting to deal Dak to set themselves up for getting Texas quarterback Arch Manning.
