ESPN' Wojnarowski: Penny Hardaway, along with Howard at Michigan, set to get NBA offers

Memphis Tigers Basketball fans might be disappointed that Penny Hardaway hasn't brought his team to the NCAA tournament. Leaving Memphis for an NBA job would likely make that worse. According to ESPN's Adrian Wojnarowski there's NBA interest in both Juwan Howard at Michigan and Penny Hardaway at Memphis.

Hardaway has also told WHBQ reporters he's flattered but not interested in leaving the Memphis Tigers program for the NBA.

Thursday on the Gary Parrish Show, Parrish and 92.9 FM ESPN Host/Daily Memphian Columnist Geoff Calkins discussed the report. While both Parrish and Calkins think it's unlikely Hardaway would bounce from Memphis, they do acknowledge it's something for Hardaway to think about. Parrish said, "You have to consider it. There's only 30 of those (jobs). It's an easier lifestyle. It would be a totally reasonable parachute out of this tougher than he realized situation."
