The Memphis Grizzlies fell 108-99 to the Houston Rockets on Monday night in Houston, as the Rockets pulled away in the fourth quarter after a tight first three periods. Houston was paced by Alperen Şengün and Kevin Durant, who each scored 33 points to lead the charge and close out the win. The Grizzlies stayed competitive through three quarters, trailing by just a few points, but couldn’t keep pace in the final period as Houston outscored them 32–22, thanks to big shots and stout defense that limited Memphis’ efficiency.
Memphis got solid scoring from Santi Aldama and Jaren Jackson Jr., but overall shooting struggles and turnovers proved costly in crunch time. Despite flashes of promise, the Grizzlies couldn’t overcome the Rockets’ firepower in the second half.
