The Memphis Grizzlies played well but fell short in Indianapolis to the Indiana Pacers Sunday (1/28) 116-110. With no Luke Kennard available GG Jackson came off the bench for the Grizzlies with 18 points in 29 minutes. Jaren Jackson Jr. had 25 points, 5 rebounds and 4 assists. The revelation of the season for the Grizzlies, Vince Williams Jr., scored 20 points to go along with 8 rebounds.
For the Pacers Bennedict Mathurin was terrific off the bench scoring 24 points. Jalen Smith had a double-double 19 points and 10 rebounds.
Memphis now finds themselves 10 games below .500 at 18-28 playing solid team basketball thanks to young players like GG Jackson, Vince Williams Jr. and others. Memphis has recently found a rhythm despite being ravaged by injury to almost every star on the team expect Jaren Jackson Jr. The next big question to answer for the Grizzlies, what to do prior to the the February 8th trade deadline?
