Memphis Grizzlies sign Scotty Pippen Jr. to 2-way contract (G&J AUDIO from 92.9)

Memphis, Tenn. – The Memphis Grizzlies today announced the team signed guard Scotty Pippen Jr. to a two-way contract. Per team policy, terms of the deal were not disclosed.

Pippen Jr. (6-1, 170) has appeared in 17 games (15 starts) for the South Bay Lakers during the 2023-24 NBA G League Showcase and regular season and has averaged 20.2 points, 5.2 rebounds, 5.9 assists and 2.2 steals in 30.3 minutes. The 23-year-old was selected to participate in the 2023 Jordan Rising Stars Game as part of NBA All-Star Weekend while with South Bay last season.

Unselected in the 2022 NBA Draft, the Portland, Oregon native made six appearances for the Los Angeles Lakers last season and averaged 2.3 points in 5.3 minutes. He played three seasons collegiately at Vanderbilt (2019-22), where he was named All-SEC First Team following his sophomore and junior years.
