Memphis, Tenn. – The Memphis Grizzlies today announced the following medical updates for Marcus Smart and Cam Spencer:
Smart continues to progress in connection with rehabilitation for a partial tear of the proximal extensor hood of his right index finger, which he sustained during the Grizzlies’ game against the Atlanta Hawks on December 21. Smart is considered week-to-week.
Spencer suffered a left thumb fracture on January 9 while participating in practice with the Memphis Hustle and will undergo surgery to repair the injury. He is expected to make a full recovery and will be re-evaluated in three weeks.
Memphis also announced a new addition to the team in 2-way signee Zyon Pullin after waiving Colin Castleton.
