Essentially Fitz simplified what we all understand, like watching a car crash. Conflict works. Crime exists in Memphis. Let's bring that in here on ESPN. Stephen A. is boosting ratings at Memphis' expense. But at the end of the segment with Jason Fitz, Jason Smith pointed out "there is a great pride here." "We can talk about us, but we don't let others talk about us."
John Martin showed us on "X" what it looks like when Stephen A. Smith isn't focused on the sport itself.
Jason & John followed up on Stephen A. Smith on Wednesday (6/18) and gave further examples of how wild it sounds on the World Wide Leader.
But as the dust settles, crime is down in Memphis according to Mayor Young. And yes, Memphis suffers from a perception problem.
Back to the Memphis Grizzlies and the NBA. Listen for Game 6 of the 2025 NBA Finals on Thursday (6/19) on 92.9 FM ESPN. Both rounds of the 2025 NBA Draft can be heard next Wed-Thursday on 92.9 FM ESPN.
