Memphis Football Welcomes Proven Leader in Charles Huff
The Memphis Tigers have announced the hiring of Charles Huff as their next head football coach, a move that brings a dynamic, experienced leader to the Bluff City. Huff arrives after a successful turnaround season at Southern Miss, where he led the Golden Eagles to a 7-5 record and bowl eligibility in 2025 following a 1-11 campaign the year before, one of the biggest single-season improvements in the FBS.
Before Southern Miss, Huff spent four seasons at Marshall, compiling a 32-20 record (with bowl appearances each year) and earning a Sun Belt Conference championship in 2024. Overall, he has a 39-25 career head coaching record, and his resume includes impactful assistant roles at Alabama, Mississippi State, and Penn State, where his recruiting helped land top talent.
