At first glance it would seem to be an underwhelming hire by Ryan Silverfield as the Marshall Thundering Herd was just the 3rd-best scoring offense in Conference USA in 2021 at 33 points per game.

Cramsey grew up in Allentown, Pennsylvania and started with Chip Kelly at New Hampshire in 2003. His stops included roles as offensive coordinator at FIU, Montana State, Nevada, and Sam Houston State.
